Red Bull Racing announced on Monday that Mark Webber’s contract has been extended, meaning the Australian will continue to drive for the team next season. Webber, who leads the 2010 driver standings, has been with the Austrian-owned squad since 2007. With Sebastian Vettel already contracted to Red Bull for next year, it means the team’s driver line-up will remain unchanged for the third season in a row.

Following a meeting at their Milton Keynes factory on Thursday, Red Bull believe they have drawn a line under the collision between drivers Sebastian Vettel and Mark Webber during the Turkish Grand Prix. Vettel, Webber, team principal Christian Horner, chief technical officer Adrian Newey and Red Bull Motorsport consultant Dr Helmut Marko all attended the meeting at the team’s UK factory
McLaren marked the 40th anniversary of the death of team founder Bruce McLaren on Wednesday at their Woking headquarters. McLaren, who won four Grands Prix, died on June 2, 1970 while testing a McLaren Can-Am car at Goodwood. The entire company gathered outside the McLaren Technology Centre for a minute’s silence during the afternoon.
Just days after clinching second place at the Turkish Grand Prix, McLaren’s Jenson Button took time to reflect on his title-winning success of 2009 on Wednesday, as he was awarded an MBE by Her Majesty the Queen at Buckingham Palace in London. World champion Button, who took the title driving for Brawn GP, was named in the Queen’s New Year Honours list.
Sunday’s Turkish Grand Prix saw Rubens Barrichello and Nico Hulkenberg struggle home to 14th and 17th places respectively for Williams.
