Renault announced on Tuesday that Frenchman Eric Boullier has been appointed as their new team principal with immediate effect. Boullier started his motorsport career as an engineer ten years ago before he made the move into management. He takes over from Bob Bell, who filled the role on a temporary basis after the departure of Flavio Briatore last September.
Ferrari have set up a new driver academy to find and support talented young drivers from around the world, with the eventual aim of getting them into the Formula One arena. Renault have confirmed on Wednesday that they will continue to supply engines to Red Bull Racing in 2010, extending the successful partnership that has been in place since 2007. The agreement means Red Bull Racing will use the same engines that will be used by the Renault team throughout the 2010 season. 2009 has been Red Bull Racing’s finest season to date, said Red Bull team principal, Christian Horner.
